HONG KONG INLINE CUP 2009
OUR MATT (Fitness Instructor) represented GB recently in Hong Kong & gave us the following account.  CLEVER MATT.

Recently I have been away to Hong Kong to play in the World Tournament called the HK Inline Cup.  This is a tournament I have never been to before in a part of the world I have never really thought about going to.  Which made it all the better..

The first couple of days we did the site seeing; went to different places such as Oceans Park, a zoo & theme park. Some of us went to see the Buddha Temple and some went shopping.

Then it was game time!   The Tournament had begun, my team were playing both Under 18's & Mens A.  This was hard going.  Our first game out there was agains the Mens A - 2 year running champs from Canada.  We lost the match but put up a good fight and didn't let ourselves get pushed around.

However, it was the Under 18's we wanted.  We got to the final and came sadly second.  This was hard to take in because we had drawn 1-1 and beaten the team 2-1 in previous days of the Tournament.  We were proud however and are already preparing for next year ready to get the gold.

I recommend the Tournament to any inline hockey players and recommend Hong Kong to anyone just looking for a good h oliday.
